Central American Woven Petate

72.00

Add a little bit of the tropics to your home! This mat is woven from the fibers of the Key thatch palm. Its thick, coarse texture makes it extremely durable, perfect for a mud room rug; but its subtle color changes and intricacies will make it work as a neutral wall adornment as well. Wherever you choose to place your new mat, it’s sure to amaze.

These bedrolls are used throughout Central America and Mexico. Its name comes from the Náhuatl word petlatl. In certain regions of Central America and Mexico, they are referred to as Petates. Size: 4x6 ft
